I’m always in the market for new skincare because I don’t think I’ve really found my perfect routine and I always try First Aid Beauty since its safe for sensitive skin and made with pretty good ingredients.Read More
Soooo, after having the longest engagement ever. I'm officially under the 3-month mark and I sort of can't believe it! I have been working really hard on getting my fitness right and my skin before the wedding but it's time to really kick it up a notch and make it a priority. I'm going to have these photos forever and it's going to be such a special day that I don't want to feel meh. I want to feel super confident!
So here are a few things I am doing.
Keeping up with working out 4 times a week and active on the other 3. Long walks or yoga. Trying to get 10,000 steps a day.
Eating a lot cleaner, more fruits, and veggies
Drinking water, I mean you've seen everywhere how great water is for everything
I have Keratosis pilaris, which is these red bumps on the back of my arms. My dermatologist told me to use this. But you really have to use it for a long time and consistently to see results.
I have some chest and back acne (keeping it real) and something that really helps is this spray. So I'm using that and this brush to help clear dead skin from working out and reach places I can't. This is what I use in the shower, recommended by my dermatologist. (THIS CAN BLEACH YOUR TOWELS!)
I'm going to keep up with my face wash and oil my dermatologist gave me because that really helps to keep my skin a lot clearer.
I also got this light mask, so who knows how that will go. Let me know if you want a review.
I'm going to keep up with masks to keep my skin clearer and hydrated.
Take my vitamins! This has to help something.
I may also get facials once a month just to really help my skin and everything it's going through.
Stop picking, this is really bad for me. I can't resist but I find if I leave my skin be for a few days it looks so much clearer!
These are things I should do all the time. But they will be my priority for the next 3 months and hopefully, that will help it to become easier and more of a lifestyle change!
If you have tips of things you do before your wedding or a major event, I want to hear!
Of course now that we are half way through summer I have nailed down my 5 minute bronze summer makeup look and I want to share with you all my favorite products! Tell me below what products you love for en effortless summer look, I want to try out some new products!
Of course I start off with a moisturized base, I love this gel moisturizer to keep me hydrated in the summer but not make my oily. Its super light weight and absorbs really quickly. Then I have been liking the BB cream. Something super light (when my skin is cooperating) but gives me enough coverage to get an even base.
For bronzer, I have been loving too face chocolate bronzer. I like that it smells like chocolate and gives me a really nice warmth to the face without being to orange-y. I know that there are other chocolates in the line for different skin tones too!
This Ulta blush I really like for the summer time because it has a lot of shimmer in it. It just gives you this glow without being overwhelming and its a pretty peachy pink. Perfect for the summer.
I usually don't do too much with my eyes, I like just adding a little bit of definition so I will add a taupe color to my crease or sometimes even just my bronzer! If Im feeling fancy I like adding a shimmery cooper or gold. I think Glisten by Anastasia is just gorgeous, its pigmented but still gives off this "Im not trying hard" vibe. If you know what I mean.
Lastly, I finish off with Tarte Mascara, I like that it gives me a lot of fluff to my eyelashes, but Im still looking for a good mascara that gives me a lot of volume and makes my lashes look fluffy. If you have a recommendation let me know in the comments!
Lastly, I like to finish off with a gloss! It just helps to hydrate my lips, I feel like they get so dry in the summer with the hot air. And I just like something that adds a little pink to my lips but isn't crazy pigmented. I like this ulta formula, now it doesn't stay on like all day but Ill take it for a five minute routine!
Sometimes I do the All-Nighter setting spray. I do feel like it helps to keep everything in place when Im in a hurry. I also found this Coola setting spray that has sunscreen in it. Now I haven't tried it so Im not going to recommend it but I thought it was a really cool concept because skin care is important especially if you're going to be out in the sun all day but the review seem hit or miss. So let me know if you've tried it!
I had a sample of just their regular sunscreen and I liked that!
Tell me what are you tricks to get out the door but still have a glow!

Summer is a time to try some new things and trends and thats exactly what I have been doing. So Im sharing with you some of the things I have been recently loving. And I'd love to know what you have been trying and loving whether its summer or winter for you!
Bandana's - I am loving that bandana's are making a come back in a super cute way. I recently ordered one off Roolee!
Chambray TOMS - I usually go for something really neutral for my feet but I wanted something a little but more fun for the summer time so I got these TOMS. What do you think, cute?
Target Candles - I love these candles. Not only do they smell great but my plan in that once I have used them up Im going to put them on my makeup desk and use them for my cotton rounds or Q-tips. I love reusing candle holders for items around my house.
Ebates - I have had to buy so much stuff recently for the wedding, whether its undergarments, my shoes or my bridal shower dress. So I am buying a ton online and Ebates has helped me to make some money back on those purchases!
New purse - It was time I updated my work bag and I love how many compartments this has. Also the compartment on the bottom is perfect for me to put my packed lunch and not get my papers gross or wet for some reason!
Comment below and tell me what you've been loving!
Sorry guys that it took me forever to write this post, but I figured better late than never! I have been having my eye on an Anastasia palette for a while. I wanted one for a fun splurge but none of them really spoke to me until soft glam game out. And then I was all heart eyes! I know that some people were upset some of the shades weren't new but I didnt mind since tehy were all new to me.
PRICE: It's $42 for 14 shadows which is about $3 per shadow which is not bad seen as how the shadows are so pigmented! Plus there is a brush, but I'd give that value about a $0 since I really didnt like it.
PACKAGING: I love this packaging. It is a velvet feel, has a mirror and is magnetic!
FORMULA: So just like the Modern Renaissance palette, this one has a lot of fall out. But now that I'm used to is I don't really mind. Its super pigmented and blends really easily. You have to be careful because you don't need much on your brush.
WEAR: They wear really nicely, I love that I feel like there is unlimited eye looks. I can go subtle or with a bold eye.
Office Time - Burnt Orange in the crease rustic to darken the crease, cypus umber to add some depth and then tempera all over the lip to lighten it!
Night Out - Rustic as the transition shade, a mix of sienna and cyprus in the crease. Dusty Rose in the outer corner with sultry and rose pink on the lid!
Day Time - Burnt Orange in the crease with fairy or glistening on the lids.
The other day I used noir for a smudged eyeliner look and I loved it!
Recommendation: I HIGHLY recommend this palette, you can make so many looks and its so pigmented it will last me forever. The only negatives to this is the fall out and that the brush is compete crap.
If you couldn't tell I love purple looks and cool tones so this was a little outside my comfort zone! But I love it, what make up should I try next?!
