My Rising Tide Society Experience

Hey guys, I hope you're having a great week! I wanted to share another #realtalk with you and reflect a little about a group that means so much to me!

If you are a creative and you haven't heard of the Rising Tide Society you need to go check them out! It is such a great resource for all creatives. Through them, I found my Tuesday Together group and I just wanted to share a little bit about them!

This is a group that meets monthly to talk about different topics, whether its clients, finance or personalities.  There are all different types of creatives in the groups but I will have to say it heavily leans towards wedding photographers, which I'm not mad about.  This group of people has been such an amazing resource for me!

Most of my friends don't ask about my blog and it's sorta hard to communicate about it but this group has allowed me to talk all things creative and not.  It was great to really find this group that, no matter the profession, just got it.  They understood that creativity ebbs and flows, it's hard, takes a ridiculous amount of work, and despite almost quitting all the time we are all there because we love it.

I have made friends and found a group that rally's around it members and lots of collaborations. Last time I was there someone was new and they were struggling to really find a group for this large part of their life. And I saw a lot of myself in her and my advice was, "show up".  There have been so many times I've come home from work and been like "I don't want to mingle" or "that sounds a like a lot of work" but its important.  All the tools and resources are at your fingertips you just have to show up.  (I'm trying to live this as more of a life motto)

I had no idea this type of community exsisted and its free.  So I wanted to share it with you because it is such a great resources.  I have met so many amazing people that support me and always greet me with wide open arms.  Which I never in all my 9 times moving have ever experienced! It is also VERY cool to see these creatives grow within their profession.  I get so inspired by how they push themselves out of their comfort zone.  They also show up for me any time I ask for support.  It's truely incredible.

Again, its just amazing to be a part of a group that understands such a big part of my life, collaborated and is uplifting!

Here is the link to all the cities they are available in! PS the Rising Tide Society offers a lot of amazing resources for creatives!

Are you in any groups? I'd love to hear about it!

If you are interested, Kaitlin also does commission pieces tailored to your taste, you can reach out to here at hello@elysianmarket.com.

Here is some background on how this collaboration came about:

Kaitlin is the fearless leader of the Cincinnati Rising Tide Society Chapter.  She is as kind-hearted and authentic as they come. This collection was focused on Valentines day to celebrate all types of love; love with friends, significant others and even self love.

The collection is named "The Future is Female". Part of this is in celebration of all the amazing boss lady's out there and really living out the moto of Rising Tide Society, "Collaboration over Competition".  It is amazing to be in the group and be surround by so many successful, powerful and helpful women. I have the names of each print under the photos as well!
