Current June Favorites

Summer is a time to try some new things and trends and thats exactly what I have been doing.  So Im sharing with you some of the things I have been recently loving.  And I'd love to know what you have been trying and loving whether its summer or winter for you!

Bandana's - I am loving that bandana's are making a come back in a super cute way.  I recently ordered one off Roolee!

Chambray TOMS - I usually go for something really neutral for my feet but I wanted something a little but more fun for the summer time so I got these TOMS.  What do you think, cute?

Target Candles - I love these candles.  Not only do they smell great but my plan in that once I have used them up Im going to put them on my makeup desk and use them for my cotton rounds or Q-tips.  I love reusing candle holders for items around my house.

Ebates - I have had to buy so much stuff recently for the wedding, whether its undergarments, my shoes or my bridal shower dress.  So I am buying a ton online and Ebates has helped me to make some money back on those purchases!

Face Pads & Moisturizer - I was trying out some new facial pads and moisturizer and I could tell it just wasn't helping my skin so I went back to basics and my skin is much happier so far!

New purse - It was time I updated my work bag and I love how many compartments this has.  Also the compartment on the bottom is perfect for me to put my packed lunch and not get my papers gross or wet for some reason!

Comment below and tell me what you've been loving!

New Hair Products Review

Hi Guys! So coming out of winter that feels like it has never been ending I have been very focused on my skin care and keeping it hydrated but I forgot about my hair and it needs some serious TLC.  So I recently purchased some new products and I wanted to tell you what I loved and what I didn't!

REMEMBER WHEN SHOPPING: Use Ebates for cash back and coupons! Honey is a great back up when Ebates doesn't work on the site.

Recent Haul:

I have really been liking the DryBar Brand recently, I know that they are a little pricey but I think they are worth it and better than Living Proof I think.

This mask was just what my hair needed, I loved that I could just do it in the shower.  No mess and fuzz and it really helped to replenish my hair!

Okay, so this hair towel.  A hair towel like this is supposed to help your hair to not only dry but also cause a lot less breakage.  When you put your hair up in a towel its rough on your hair and can damage it.  I have heard using an old t-shirt is softer.  But I found that those got soaked quickly and then my hair isn't drying because it's just sitting in something wet so I thought I'd give the hair towel a try. UPDATE! I think that this towel really dried out my hair and I have lost a lot of moisture with it.  When I stopped using it I got a lot of my softness back.

First off, I just had the texture of it, it's not soft it's a little scratchy and something I get weird about the feel of things and this is just one I really don't like.  Also, I got the "long" towel and I wouldn't say my hair is THAT long.  If you had longer hair I'm not sure if it would be long enough for you.  It definitely does its job of soaking up water and probably more than anything else.  But your hair is still sitting in cold water.  I think it does cut down on time and absorbs more but I'm not sure its worth the $30.

Not your Mother's Blow Dry Spray - I haven't really seen a difference if it cuts down on time but I like the smell of it and that its a heat protectant.

These hair ties are supposed to be great dow not causing bends in your hair and being a little bit gentler on them.  Although I don't think they prevent your hair pulling or snagging they do leave a dent.  I wanted to wear them for when I went to bed but I think they are still a little rough.  So I'm pretty indifferent to them

Tangle Teezer - I've seen this thing for years and have always wanted to try.  It for sure works on wet hair like a breeze.  I wouldn't really recommend it for dry hair.  Although it works I feel like it can be rough and never feels like it fully goes through all my hair.

Prep Rally - I got this as a sample and I love it.  I want to get a large size. I love the smell and actually think it helps my hair to dry faster when I'm blow drying it.  It adds moisture without weighing it down.

I'm excited to try some new products.  I want to help my blonde really get blonde this summer while keeping it healthy and strong since the wedding is around the corner!

What do you recommend? I'd love to know!

Last Minute Gifts

You guys asked so here it is! Can you believe its almost Christmas?! I can't! Here are some ideas for last minutes you can get for everyone in your life! I also wrote a gift guide to your hosts this holiday season and I think there are some really good items in there!

REMEMBER WHEN SHOPPING: Use Ebates for cash back and coupons! Honey is a great back up when Ebates doesn't work on the site.

I put together a list of items you can get for different people in your life if you need something in a pinch! Hopefully, this just gives you some last minute ideas!

Mother's/Mother In Law's: My mom has this nice pair of leather gloves for the longest time and this year I decided to upgrade her and get some new ones.  I think this is a classic gift that's really nice! Another item I really liked is this lotion set. Its perfect for the winter months and great for someone you're stumped on what to give.

Fitness Guru:

I found this awesome "post yoga" balm.  I think its a unique gift for all your fitness friends out there.  And you can never go wrong with an armband!

Sisters/Sister in Law

Who doesn't love some cute pjs or a robe.  I think these are nice extra gifts you wouldn't by yourself but would love to receive.  H&M has some cute ones that are perfect for the holidays season.

Also, I wish someone would get me these fleeced lined leggings, I think they will be great for the cold weather and so comfy!

Brother/Brother in Law

I know when it comes to my brother-in-law's it's always tough to buy for them.  My one brother in law loves these slippers I got him one year and I think its a great go to.  I also found this Harry shaving set at Jcrew that I think is perfect for any man in your life!

Beauty Guru:

My one sister was looking for some travel size hair care.  So I got her this dry bar travel set.  I think its great for all different types of hair and lets them try out things before really committing!

I picked out this lip set because I think its got shades for everyone! Something for every day and something a little bolder.  I love the cute little travel pouch it comes in too!

Stocking Stuffers (Smaller Items)

I don't think you can go wrong with a pair of hat and scarf for any friends or family member in your life! Or this candle set, I'm obsessed with!

Sephora & Ulta Sale Wish List

Guys, theres one thing I love more than makeup and thats makeup on sale! Sephora is having their semi-annual sale from April 20-23 and Ulta is also having 20% off. I dont really NEED much but boy do I want it! So I have rounded up something I have my eye on.  Let me know if you have tried any or have recommendations!

Be sure to use Ebates, to get some money back on your online purchases!! You'll get $10 automatically!

Skincare

Moisturizer (Night Time) - I have seen wonderful reviews and I like putting a heavier moisturizer on at night and waking up with refreshed skin.  I had a small tub of this as a sample and really liked it.

Moisturizer (Day Time) - This use to be my ride or die and I tried some new ones.  I think with summer around the corner Im going back!

Cleansing Sponge - I already had one of these but it's a little bit of a hassle to move it from my skin to my shower, so I love it SO much Im going to get another.  Highly recommend, it deep cleans and it gentle.

Make up Remover Wipes - I really feel like the Sephora Collection doesn't get enough attention.  I love make up wipes for before I wash myself just to make life a little easier! I am interested in seeing the exfoliating side.

Spot Treatment - I am trying to go a little more natural with my products and really liking Origins recently, so I wanted to give this a go!

Makeup

Primer - Like I said I really think that the Sephora collection is underrated.  I am assuming this is one of their newer products since it doesn't have many reviews but Im willing to take a chance! Especially since Sephora has such an amazing return policy!

Foundation Option 1 - So I know this isn't AMAZING for oily skin but I really like how it applies, I got color matched perfectly, and I love the finish of it.  I think its beautiful!

Foundation Option 2 - I use to LOVE this foundation, but honestly it was a little thick.  Im hoping since I have learned how to better apply foundation that I will fall in love with it once again.  It was wonderful for oily skin.

Brow Pencil & Finishing Powder - I currently have both of these and they are a must have for me. So I am just restocking, also there is a NYX sale and I think I may need to go lighter with my brow since summer is coming!

Whats on your list?!

March Product Review

Hey guys! So I recently splurged at Ulta for some things I have been having my eye on.  I wanted to give you a review and let you know my thoughts.  Like the Glam Glow Mask ... is it really worth $69?! Read on my friends!

Be sure to use Ebates, to get some money back on your online purchases!! You'll get $10 automatically!

Origins Face Mask - I usually get mask for acne and drawing out impurities but I have had such dry skin recently and I had someone tell me that getting things for sensitive skin rather than acne would help my skin more.  I had heard really great reviews on this mask so I thought I'd give it a try.  I love this mask! It has 2 cons in my mind, 1 the smell, its pretty strong, I think its suppose to be eucalyptus. 2 Its pretty hard to get off, I have to use a wash cloth, hands don't do it and its still tricky.  My skin is so soft after though and I think it helps to calm my face down a lot and I didnt break out from it!

Benefit Hoola - Okay so I get what all the hype is about.  This stuff is so blend able, this is the first bronzer I feel like I can actually use to contour without looking orange.  It does have more of an orange undertone than ash, so it can be orange if you use too much.  I just love how well it blends.  I do hate the packaging though, the brush isn't great and its hard to get my brush in there.

March favorite products beauty skin care

Yes Micellar Water - I had been hearing a lot about micellar water, how it just adheres to your makeup taking it off.  I really liked this stuff at first, it feels like water which is nice because it takes off a ton of makeup and you don't have residue left over.  How ever if you do use too much it does become soapy.  I got this one since my skin is sensitive but it isn't powerful enough to really get off mascara or anything like that.  Its nice and hydrating but you have to wash your face after this isn't enough!

NYX Blush - This blush looks VERY orangey I will admit.  But Im so glad I gave it a chance.  I love this color it is super natural and give me a nice glow. It's build able which I find really nice in blush so that you can add however much you want.  I hate when you try blush and one swipe you're like WOO I look like a clown.  I love this line and I want to try out more of NYX blushes!

Glam Glow- This stuff is cool I have to admit, and it leaves your skin so soft.  But I never really saw a difference in my skin.  I liked the origins mask a lot more.  I didnt see an improvement in my acne, I think all it did was draw out some oil which quickly came back.  Not worth the price tag especially with how little product you get.  Thankfully I used a gift card on this!

Physician's Formula Bronzer - I had heard really great things about this bronzer in the Youtube Community, especially by people with fair skin so I had to try.  Again I find it really natural and build able which I love! PSA this seems like straight up pina colada's, which I absolutely HATE.  If you like its then you'll love it.  But I like this bronzer enough to look past the smell.

If you haven't read my post comparing pallets, then you would have no idea how much I love this pallet.  It's extremely pigmented and blend able.  I love it so much. Im a huge fan of cool toned eye shadows and I feel like I can never find them all together.  Seriously I love this pallet, it had everything; transition colors, mattes, shimmers and pop's of color! What more could you need?!
