Favorite Oily Skin Products

Hi Friends, I hope that you are having a fabulous week! I wanted to expand upon some of my favorite products that I have found for Oily Skin that isn't just primers like my last post, which you can find here!

REMEMBER WHEN SHOPPING: Use Ebates for cash back and coupons! Honey is a great back up when Ebates doesn't work on the site.

Most of these are drug store options and I love them all for different reasons.

Powders: The NYX mineral is great to set your make up.  I love the feel it gives my skin, very silky.  It helps to set everything and stay matte.  Although I have found myself staying matter longer with the Rimmel.  The only thing I wish about the power is they had a no color one.  I am currently using "translucent" even though it is more for people with fair skin.  I used to mix bother but I find myself skipping the NYX sometimes and just using Rimmel!

Setting Spays:  Just a disclaimer, I have not used the NYX one yet, but I have heard nothing but great reviews and Im dying to try it.  Im also hoping it is a cheaper alternative to the Urban Decay.  Have to be honest at first I didn't get the hype about the Urban Decay one, and then I realized you have to spray a good amount! And then I really saw a difference in my makeup, it didn't break up nearly as fast and I could go all day with out touching up.  The Elf one is not a matte spray, but I like it for when I put powder on over my make up it helps to settle everything and blend a lot better.  It also just helps to re-hydrate the skin so it doesn't get as oily as fast!

Moisturizer:  I have never found a moisturizer that I like better than Clinque's.  I love that it is a gel formula so I feel like I am getting hydrated without it being heavy.  It also soaks into my skin really quickly.

What are you favorite products right now? Dont forget to shop with Ebates each of these link qualify!

Review: Oily Skin Primers

Hi Guys! So this summer I have really been trying out some products to keep my oil at bay.  I feel like majority of people have dry, normal or combo skin and its so hard to find reviews on products that target towards oily skin.  Now I know that primers really help my make up to stay on a lot longer and not break own so much through out the day.  I've tested a ton this summer and here are my reviews!

My absolute favorite is the One Heck Of A Blot #3.  This primer has done WONDERS for my skin.  It also has the most amount of product for $15.  It's seriously a steal.  It holds up the best and I love its consistently.  Feels like a gel moisturizer.  Im not a huge fan of silicon primers.

The Angel Skin primer I heard was good for oily skin and although it is more moisturizing it defiantly leaves me very oily very fast and I wouldn’t recommend it for oily skin,  I feel like it give me more of a luminous feeling if anything!

The Becca stuff is heavy duty.  It for sure works but feels like glue on your pores. I just feel like its getting stuck in my pores but it will keep you matte for a very long time.

I don’t think the makeup forever is worth it for the price now that I have found One Heck Of a Blot and it is so much less expensive.  And this is more of a silicon formula.

Baby Skin is as silicon as it comes, its not recommended for oily skin and it more for large pores.  It gives a smooth surface but does nothing for oily skin!

The Neutrogena is good for areas of your face that don’t really get oily.  But it has some grit in it, I think its the rice protein. Also it

What have been your favorites this summer??

3 Products for Oily Skin that is Dry

Let me explain the title of this post. I have very oily skin.  Like extremely.  Like oil slick. Okay I think you get the point, but recently I have been put on medication for acne and it makes my skin very dry in some areas.  I have tried products aimed towards combination skin but I have found it still doesn't help the oily side of things.  Also the current change to colder weather isn't helping things either. One day when I was in Sephora, one of the workers explained to me that my skin was dehydrated and if I moisturized it better it wouldn't be so oily.  If your skin is more moisturized it doesn't have the need to produce more oil to help.  One thing I have found that works is to really moisturize my skin at night, when it does more of its healing, and then wear my regular lotion during the day.

DISCLAIMER: I am in no way an expert in skin care.

Three products I have been enjoying are:

Bye Bye to Dry Mask: I'm sort of really digging this whole sheet mask trend.  It feels like it's working so much better for me than something that you take off because most of the time you just rub the product into your skin.  This has really helped with my dry areas!

Ultra Repair Cream: Warning, if your skin is really dry this will burn but it helps replenish the skin.  Although the parts that aren't dry will be oily immediately.  This is why I apply it at night to help my skin overall.  I wouldn't recommend wearing it during the day if you are oily.

Intense Therapy Lip Balm: LOVE THIS! It smells so good and it works so well! Maybe a little pricey but worth every single penny.

I use the Clique Dramatically Different Gel during the day, just make sure you use the one for oily skin not dry.  They look the same and I made that mistake once! And if you have a really dry patch as a spot treatment Aquaphor is the bomb!

If you are an oily skin girl/gal out there please let me know what you use! Im always looking for more stuff and I really like these brands, and I can't wait to try out more.
