Favorite Hair Products

I feel like as Im getting older Im trying to take much better care of my hair.  Fun fact, I have "virgin" hair as stylist like to call it.  Meaning its all natural and not dyed at all! So I wanted to share with you some of my favorite items to keep it healthy and strong. and of course most of these products are really affordable!

REMEMBER WHEN SHOPPING: Use Ebates for cash back and coupons! Honey is a great back up when Ebates doesn't work on the site.

A little bit about my hair, its super fine but I have a good amount of it.  Its pretty straight and gets oily easily.  Just so you know when I recommend my favorites!

Shampoo & Conditioner - I really like the sulfate free, because I have oily hair and this way there's less build up on my hair.  This shampoo and conditioner is biodegradable, meaning it doesn't fill up landfills! These smell really good too and aren't overpowering.

Put in after a shower - Sometimes I put this in after the shower since it has so many different things it does just to help my hair overall!

Dry Shampoo - I have a high end and low end option.  I don't like the white cast, but it is nice to see where the dry shampoo is going.  These are the two I can stand.  I don't like the scented ones and the ones for blonde just turn my hair a gross yellow

Heat Protectant - Im learning more and more how important this it.  I have been putting more heat on my hair with blow drying it in the winter and using heat protectant allows more time inbetween hair cuts.  Here is the high end and the low end

Sea Salt Spray - This is great for when I curl my hair and I dont want my hair to become one big wave. It doesn't make my hair feel gross like I was worried about and you don't need much.

Curling Irons - I like this one for more waves.  I have found that a 1 1/4 inch curling iron is the best for getting some curls but not having my hair curly! And the wave keeps, usually my ahir falls so quickly but I've had no trouble with that wand. The nume is great for curls they work so well. Nume may seem like they have a heavy price tag but in my experience they have a lot of sales so dont worry! I also like hte wands for the beachy look.  I have trouble with the clamps and getting lines in my hair to be honest haha.

Lightening Spray - Sometimes I spray a little of this lightening spray when Im out in the sun to speed up the process.  But be careful one summer in college I went overboard and my whole head just turned VERY light, it didn't look natural so I'd use it sparingly.

Hair Masks - I dont do hair mask too much but it my hair needs a little bit more moisture this is what I tend to use

Here are all the products Ive mentioned!

Another thing I will say that really helps my hair is that I don't put a lot of heat on it and I think that keeps it really healthy.  And one I do notice split ends I go and get a trim to help it stay healthy! So tell me! What are some of your favorate products?

My Fall Lookbook

I love so much about fall and one of my favorite things, is the fashion! I love the all the colors with the deeper blush tones, olive green and taupes. I'm trying to wear more orange, but my skin tone only allows so much ha! So I've rounded up some of my favorite outfits and where I like to wear them! Some items are from last season so I've linked as many as I could and found an alternative for the ones I can't!

Ps. if you're online shopping be sure to use Ebates, to get some cash back!  Read more to see each outfit in depth!

Some of my favorite shops lately are; Tobi, Nordstrom, Target, Old NavyRoolee, and H&M A lot of my jewelry is from Old Navy but unfortunately, I was unable to find any of it online :(

Date Night / Girls Night Out

I love this outfit to go out in.  I love these high waisted skirts recently and the fall color or it.  The great thing with skirts like these is you can easily through on some tights and booties if need be.  I couldn't find the exact necklace form Francesca's but I linked a few statement pieces.  I like a bolder necklaces that brings in a few different colors since there is so much black.

This auburnish taupe is a newer color for me! Usually I don't like organge tones with my fair completion but I feel like I can pull it off easier as a bottom.  And I'm loving my peep toed heels there so many cute ones out now I had to share more than one!

Dinner Out

I know that off the shoulders were all the range for summer but I think they make for a nice transition into fall, for the nights that aren't too cold. I also paired this jacket with it and the colors were giving me fall vibes.

I know that these strappy shoes are everywhere but I recently saw them in this more velvety texture and I was in love! If I could get them in every color I would.  I do have them in a powder blue and they are an awesome statement shoe without being over the top.  The thicker heel is perfect too, so easy and comfortable to wear!

The exact necklace was out of stock so I linked a similar one as well! I love these prelayered necklaces because I love the look but sometimes it's not easy to get them all lined up.  This takes the guessing game out of it!

Bonfire Nights

One of the reasons I like fall weather so much is because you can layer without being bundled up.  I love the classic yet edgy look of a white sweater and moto jacket. I couldn't find the exact sweater but I got close!

Apple Picking

I love going to farms on the weekend in the fall, for apple picking, getting pumpkins or just getting into the outdoors.  And this wouldn't be a fall look book without some flannel.  I really like the Old Navy Flannels, because they fit nicely and are soft without being over priced.  They have so many different colors too and usually are on sale its perfect.

These jeans are a little pricey from Madewell, but they really are Madewell.  I have had them for a while and wear them every week.  They haven't changed in color or fit so well worth the money!

Working Girl

I don't know about you but it doesn't matter what time of year it is my work office is freezing.  And I love these blanket scarfs.  They are so comfy.

I actually found this exact scarf in the men's section of a store.  Not sure why it was there but I thought it was perfect for me. I couldn't find it any more but I got pretty close.

This is another outfit I love the Anorak Jackets for.  This jacket is awesome because even though its a lot of material it still gives me a waist and is so comfy!

Out and About

This is my favorite outfit to run errands in or go to a coffee shop to work on the blog.  This cardigan is to die for.  I feel like I finally found the perfect one, that I can easily fit my hands in, and its SO soft.  I have it in this olive green, a blush (thats a little taupey) and a blue white speckled one. Told ya I liked them.

I couldn't find my exact shirt anymore.  It's from this amazing online boutique Roolee.  You can do returns there without having to get store credit.  A major bonus since everything in online.  But they don't have a ton of inventory, so if you see something you like in your size take my advice and buy it! This shirt was pretty similar, they have a lot of beautiful floral patterned shirts, so you should be able to find something.  This shirt is one that I get the most compliments on!

And of course TOMS are a must and so comfy.

                                             Dress // Jacket // Sunglasses // Shoes

One thing I love doing in the spring/summer is going to the Farmer's Market.  This shift dress is so easy to just throw on but looks so cute.  I like the jacket to give me a little bit of structure.  But this dress is a nice cloth material and would be cute for a beach day or going out for drinks.  I put the strap detail on my back so that I could wear a necklace! Its suppose to go in the front but I liked it both ways!

Date Night

                                                                Dress // Hat // Shoes

                                                               Dress // Hat // Shoes

I love the cold shoulder look for a date night out.  I love this dress because it can really be dressed up or down depending on where you're going for your date! Pair it with a jacket and flats or wedges and a cute hat! This dress is so comfortable and has an elastic band to give you a nice waist.  It was a lot of fun to accessories this outfit with lots of rings and bracelets!

Special Event

                                                                 Romper // Shoes

                                                                Romper // Shoes

Fun Fact: I usually HATE rompers.  Because Im petite usually rompers are WAY too short or just fit me weird all together.  But I am IN LOVE with this romper.  It fits me in the all right places. Even though it's a deep v the romper is pretty covering.  Don't be fooled I have fabric tape on, which didnt pucker weird like some material does.  The lines on it are super flattering as well.  I also like that there are sleeve since Im showing the legs and girls.

I wanted to keep the jewelry on this outfit pretty simple since I wanted the main focus to be the romper. I just love the combo of blush and gold.

I also went with a black shoes because when I tried on a nude one I sorta just blended into one color.  I can't wait to be more tan to wear this out on a summer night!

Shirt // Jeans // Shoes // Cross Body

You can usually find me at a coffee shop once a weekend. Whether I'm catching up with friends or working on the blog I'll always be up for a vanilla latte. These Madwell jeans are a little pricey but I've never had jeans like these fit me so well, made of good quality, and be comfortable. They also do free hemming and you get $20 off jeans if you recycle an old pair!

Rainy Day

Spring Summer Fashion Clothes Review Tobi collaboration Rainy Day outfit

So I've got a pretty far walk in downtown Cincinnati to work from my parking garage and sometimes it just absolutely downpours on me.  I wanted to get some duck boots because I hated wearing rain boots and then bringing in shoes to change into.  I got these shoes discounted to $30 from famous footwear and I love them.  They took some breaking into but they keep my feet warm and dry! I like to keep it casual on the rainy days!

Tell me what styles you have been loving and where your favorite shops are! This is one of my first fashion post so let me know if you liked it and I can do some more down the line!!

This post was done in collaboration with Tobi, so big thanks to them!

New Year New You List

Happy New Years to you!! I hope you had a great time, I unfortunately got food poisoning but I am doing much better! Did you check out the new store?!

So of course now is the time to make some new years goals, and resolutions, hopefully change some of out bad habits and replace them with healthy ones! I will be sharing my resolutions later on this week, but I wanted to make a list of things that I think will help you out this year! So you can hit the ground running (for some literally).

REMEMBER WHEN SHOPPING: Use Ebates for cash back and coupons! Honey is a great back up when Ebates doesn't work on the site.Happy Shopping!

1 - A water bottle. These swell water bottles are everywhere any they are so cute.  It is so important to drink a lot of water for your appetite, flushing toxins, skin, etc.

2. - A fitness journal. I think it is very valuable to hold yourself accountable and write down all the things you eat, and your exercising habits.  Its very helpful! Apps like MyFitnessPal tell you about how your food breaks down with fats, protein and carbs and what your goals should be! Here is another one I really like.

3. - Wireless headphones.  I find these super helpful to work out, I was constantly trying to put my headphone back in while running or pulling them out while lifting.  I also like wireless headphones for cleaning and during chores.  I listen to music, podcast or audiobooks.

4. - Mason Jars.  There are some many healthy recipes for mason jars, wether its salad, snacks or yummy water.  I think its a cute way to be healthy and that motivates me.

one // two // three // four // five // six // seven

5. A Yoga Mat. I love my yoga mat for any time I work out even when its not yoga.  I stretch on it all the time and its just a soft space to do work outs.  So don't think you HAVE to do yoga to own a yoga mat.

6. Crystals. If crystals are your thing I found a really awesome bundle on Amazon.  I like the idea of energy and having something tangible to hold.

I also really liked this cookbook  as well!

I also really liked this cookbook as well!

7. Vitamins. Lastly but very importantly vitamins.  I know vitamins can just really help you over all in any problems you're having wether its something internal, skin or stress these guys can help.  I don't take my regularly enough but I hope to!

I hope this new year brings you happiness and peace! I look forward to continuing this journey with you!
