Love Beauty & Planet Review

Soo I'm going, to be honest, this product totally got me totally based off of packaging, and I was a marketing major so there's that.  But I picked it up and took a look at it because I was looking for new shampoo and conditioner because my chest and back were breaking out and that can be caused by products running down your back in the shower. (TMI but informative haha) Anyways I picked up these products and just loved the message.

Love Beauty and Planet started with one goal...
To make you more beautiful and give a little love to our planet. We want to help make a little difference with every shower towards a happier, less wasteful planet. Our approach is a holistic one, encompassing the entire product life cycle and beyond: we’ve given careful thought to our ingredients, product packaging, and social partnerships. We call it our passionate journey of #smallactsoflove, and we’re just getting started.

Anyways the eco-friendly freak I am bought it in an instant. I purchased the coconut one for volume, I love that is called out fine hair in the description because of a lot of shampoo and conditioner weigh my hair down very easily.

I also picked up the tea tree body wash to help my skin.

REMEMBER WHEN SHOPPING: Use Ebates for cash back and coupons! Honey is a great back up when Ebates doesn't work on the site.

Review on Love Beauty and Plant products

REVIEW: I love ALL the products, my hair feels so light and clean.  It gets dirty a lot less and usually, I don't like tropical smells but this is light and give my hair volume!

The body wash does smell like tea tree which isn't the prettiest smell but it lathers nicely and doesn't leave my skin feeling dry or anything and I think it's helping with the acne.

Next up I want to try, this scrub and the tea tree shampoo for when I'm putting more product in my hair.

There's something for everyone color treated hair, damaged hair, frizzy hair and hair that needs extra cleansing too. And body wash that goes with it. Looks like they are coming out with a mask, leave in cream, dry shampoo, and oil! I'm so excited.

I love this brand and what they represent, tell me have you tried out these products?! What do you think?

Easy ways to be Eco-Friendly

Hi friends, I hope that you are having a great week! I know it's not earth day or anything but I wanted to share with you some small habits you can easily change that will have a big impact on the Earth.  A fun fact about me is I orginally went to school to be an Environmental Engineer, so this is something near and dear to my heart.

Scientist found that even small actions around the house can reduce U.S. carbon emission by over 7% over the next decade.

  1. Use green products - Especially cleaning products. More cleaning products pollute the water and aren't biodegradable. They work just as well I promise!
  2. Turn off things you don't use at night
  3. Wash your clothes in cold water - Did you know that warm water doesn't really clean your clothes better? It's more about the soaps and likes dissolving likes (some chemistry class for ya).  But 90% of energy used to clean your clothes is heating the water. Here are more ways to make your laundry more eco friendly.
  4. Use reusable silicon bags instead of ziploc.  I found these at the container store.
  5. Use reusable bags at the grocery store - I have seen a lot of people just throw out these plastic bags, you can recycle them usually back at the store! But we have found we love the large canvas bags especially to haul things up to our third floor apartment
  6. Reusable water bottles - If you reuse plastic water bottles the plastic actually ends up seeping into your water (yuck!) Also a lot less waste.
  7. Pack your  lunch - Not only do you save a ton of money but you don't waste food and less plastics are used in the transporting and making of your lunch!
  8. Meatless Monday - It takes a lot of energy to feed and take care of animals.  If you go meatless one day that makes a huge impact! "It requires 2,500 gallons of water to produce one pound of beef."
  9. Buy Local - Not only are you helping your community but less energy and gas was used transporting your food.
  10. Recycle your clothing - I love recycling my clothing at H&M.  They either donate gently used clothes or recycle old ones and make them into something new!
  11. Recycle - Think about all the papers you use through out the day, recycling all of that can make a big impact.
  12. Change your thermostat a degree - Even this can have a big impact overall, just cuddle closer or open a window when you can!
  13. Go off grid for a few hours a week - Reading a book or going for a walk rather and having everything plugged in all the time will reflect on your energy bill!
  14. Try to use dish towels instead of paper towels.
  15. Switch out your light bulbs - Eco friendly lights use less energy and can last more than twice as long.
