Colourpop Haul

Sooo, I went a little crazy on Colourpop's website the other day and I wanted to share with you some of my picks and reviews! I have a $5 coupon for you to use here if you're interested in shopping!

Here's what I got:

Blush, Highlighter, 1 new Lipstick, Concealer, 2 Eyeshadow platettes

Lip Products:

I really like colourpop for their awesome affordable products.  They have such a range and keep growing it's awesome.  The only thing is since it is so expensive if you don't like something you can't return it.

I also got this lippe stick, and I'm not really going to review it because I'm an idiot and buy all lippie sticks that are about the same color *insert facepalm emoji* So I'm disappointed in myself but still love the creamy formula!

Next up is the lipstick! And I can't really give a review on this because it swatches so orange and looks pretty bad in my opinion on my fair skin. So I haven't really worn it out for a wear test.  I do have to say though I think it will be much prettier when I am more tan.  So fingers crossed for a pretty summer color!

First up is the lippe stick and then the lipstick. Colors are:

Mini Palette:

This is the colors for the small palette called: And I love it for a summer look.  Its warmer toned than I was expecting.  I will say that as much as I like it I feel like I can only make about 2 looks.  But its perfect for my summer look at the office and for that I really like it! Shimmers are pretty subtle though.

Concealer Review:

I also messed up on the concealer ... I was looking for more of a highlighter over my foundation and I did not get a light enough shade.  You win some you lose some.  But I will say that this concealer is thick and full coverage.  I really like that aspect.  It doesn't seem to blend wonderfully with my foundation but I wonder if that has to do more of the coverage.  So I can't really give a full review because I feel I need this right color.  Sorry guys, this is what comes with online shopping!

Blush & Highlighter Review:

I LOVE my blush and highlight shades! One thing that colourpop does really well is showcase items on different skin tones so I feel like I can feel get a feel for the color of the products.  The highlighter gives me shine without being too much.  Its such a pretty champagne on my fair skin and I feel like I can build it up to whatever brightness I want.

The blush is just the perfect pretty pink and I also feel like it is buildable.  And I never feel like I have clown cheeks so that a major bonus!

The only downside is though that you get the pan and pop it into the packaging.  So all packaging is the same.  I never know when I got in my make up drawer if I'm getting the blush or the highlighter since there aren't names on the bottom.  But other than that I like how thin it is and how its magnetic and still gives you a mirror!

Colors I got are:

Big Palette Review:

This palette is called the "Give It To Me Straight" and it's $16.  It's much smaller than I was expecting.  I find I have some trouble making looks with this palette because it doesn't feel really cohesive.  I like it for simpler looks that have just a few colors.  And there isn't really a transition shade.  The skimmer/glitter shades as not as pigmented as other palettes I'm used to, or even NYX.  But I still really enjoy this palette, I think it will be perfect for summer and bronzed looks.  Also great for on the go with its small size!

I hope you found this review helpful! And liked all the photos included! Let me know if you wnat more reviews like this!

Colourpop Review!

Hi Friends! So I recently got in an order of Colourpop and this was the first time I had tried anything besides a highlighter and their lippies.  So I wanted to share my thoughts for all of you! (This is not sponsored)

For Fox Sake was a kit of mauve and golden lip colors.  I thought this would be awesome for year round and I needed some more nudes.  It cost only $25 and you can find it here

This box contained a gloss, two mattes, a metallic and a satin. The metallic was almost like pure glitter, and a little overwhelming to me.  I can't see myself wearing it on a daily basis. Trap the matte shade was very grey on my skin but I loved how it wore.  It didn't crumble on my lips and stayed on really well.  All of the ultra lip products are very pigmented and it only takes a little which is nice.  I overall like the color selection!

Next I got Love Line a eyeshadow pallet.  I am also weary of eyeshadows like this but they are so soft and buttery the consistency is really nice! One comment I have is that I wished there was more of a transition color, the light pink (Brandy) doesn't work as a transition for me.

Sequin is much more golder than appeared on the website.  Colourpop eyeshadow is interesting because you really can't use a brush to apply, your finger is best.  But you can use a brush you just have to dip it in the eyeshadow multiple times.  All of these shadows as super pigmented which I like.  Truth isn't as pigmented as I would like but it is build-able.  I love these colors and they wear nicely.  I would recommend a primer though to help the eyeshadow stick better!

June Favorites

Happy July! I hope you guys have enjoyed the new wallpapers this month! I wanted to share with you some of my favorite things this month and want to hear all about your favorites!

june monthly skin care favorites make up

I have refound my love for cooking this month, and I recently picked up this Real Simple to get some new ideas and have some healthy yet simple recipes.

Kirkland Signature Milk Chocolate Roasted Almonds 3 LBS (48 Oz) JAR - Dark Chocolate to be exact.  They are amazing and have protein as well so that I can have them as dessert but not over indulge (which is hard).
Exotic Pink Salts Himalayan Salt Lamp, 1 Pound - I have heard so many health benefits but part of it is a placebo to me I know I just feel better when I turn it on.  You can get a really large 11 point salt lamp but I went for a small one pound one and I'm so happy about it! Any one else have one?

Sunglasses - This was an impulse buy from urban outfitters and I love them.  They frame my face so nicely and are see through.  Not bad for $14

Peter Thomas Roth - These pads have done WONDERS for my cystic acne skin and dark spots.  I think Im going to write a whole post about it!

E3 Morphe Tapered Face Brush - Which has sadly been discontinued but I love this for blush and brush and I'm sure when they launch the new Elite collection there will be one just like this!

Lastly, Wisp from Colourpop - So inexpensive for a lot of product.  I like applying with a brush because Im not a highlighter expert and this gives me a more blended highlight.  Its more subtle and I like this gold for the summer time.

What have been your favorites from June or this summer?

Colourpop Review

Hi Friends, Im excited to be giving you another make up review here! So I have been following Colourpop for quite some time through some of my favorite Youtubers.  They recently had a 20% off sale and I knew I had to pick up some items.  Now I didn't get any eye shadow, which is a little crazy but honestly I was just overwhelmed with the choices and I wasn't quite sure what I wanted. So here's what I did pick up and my thoughts!

colourpop products review lippe stick highlight makeup

Wisp - I really like this highlighter! Even though I am fair I have more of a yellow tone and it looks really nice on my face.  Still trying to prefect not making it look too much like a stripe on me! But its a beautiful formula and doesn't take much product to get the perfect highlight!

HoneyDude Liner- This is the perfect nude eyeliner for the waterline of your eyes.  I love how to really makes my eyes pop and yet it last all day.  Highly recommend the liners! I think I like the pencil better than the pots.  But be careful because I twisted too much product out and it broke right off.

Dope Taupe- Sadly this color does not match me at all I should have gone with the blonde I think.  It'a hard to pick a color online.  But I love how small the pencil part is and the spooly on the other side! I need to buy a different color and try again for sure!

Swerve Pot- I love this eyeliner, it stays put all day and takes a lot to come off but that is nice for a matte black eyeliner.  Its a little hard to create a wing with but I think that not having the right tools more than anything!

Shimmy- Love this mauve tone and it last for such a lot time I would recommend hydrating and exfoliating before using ANY liquid lipstick.  But I like how this wore and it didn't wear off weird or anything like that.  Awesome for the price point.

Lumiere - I love this color its a little darker than my natural lip.  I also love that Kathleen Lights created it.  She describes it as a nude but daring color that anyone can wear!

Solow - Darker and another favorite, will be awesome for summer time!

What are some of your favorite products right now? I'd love to hear!
