Love Beauty & Planet Review

Soo I'm going, to be honest, this product totally got me totally based off of packaging, and I was a marketing major so there's that.  But I picked it up and took a look at it because I was looking for new shampoo and conditioner because my chest and back were breaking out and that can be caused by products running down your back in the shower. (TMI but informative haha) Anyways I picked up these products and just loved the message.

Love Beauty and Planet started with one goal...
To make you more beautiful and give a little love to our planet. We want to help make a little difference with every shower towards a happier, less wasteful planet. Our approach is a holistic one, encompassing the entire product life cycle and beyond: we’ve given careful thought to our ingredients, product packaging, and social partnerships. We call it our passionate journey of #smallactsoflove, and we’re just getting started.

Anyways the eco-friendly freak I am bought it in an instant. I purchased the coconut one for volume, I love that is called out fine hair in the description because of a lot of shampoo and conditioner weigh my hair down very easily.

I also picked up the tea tree body wash to help my skin.

Review on Love Beauty and Plant products

REVIEW: I love ALL the products, my hair feels so light and clean.  It gets dirty a lot less and usually, I don't like tropical smells but this is light and give my hair volume!

The body wash does smell like tea tree which isn't the prettiest smell but it lathers nicely and doesn't leave my skin feeling dry or anything and I think it's helping with the acne.

Next up I want to try, this scrub and the tea tree shampoo for when I'm putting more product in my hair.

There's something for everyone color treated hair, damaged hair, frizzy hair and hair that needs extra cleansing too. And body wash that goes with it. Looks like they are coming out with a mask, leave in cream, dry shampoo, and oil! I'm so excited.

I love this brand and what they represent, tell me have you tried out these products?! What do you think?

Shape Tape Matte Foundation Review

So if you're not in the beauty world all the time you may not have heard of the new Tarte foundation, Shape Tape which I believe mimics the shape tape conceal which is a cult favorite.

There has been some drama around this foundation because when it came out originally it only featured about 15 shades and about 10 of them being for fair skin.  Which is ridiculous because we all know there are more than 15 shades out there but I have read they are coming out with new shades so hopefully everyone, I'll be able to try it out soon!

Now of course I have oily skin so I got the matte version, but I have heard nothing but good things for the dewy skin version.  I love that they made these two products so everyone can try it despite skin type.

REMEMBER WHEN SHOPPING: Use Ebates for cash back and coupons! Honey is a great back up when Ebates doesn't work on the site.

PRICE: First off to note you get 1.01 oz and it's $39 and only sold at Ulta or on Tarte's website which frequently has sales.

PACKAGING: It took me a second to get used to the doe foot, not gonna lie. But I do like that it had a  barrier almost to make sure you're not getting too much product.  If you pull the doe foot out really fast though product can splatter trust me I've done it.  The doe foot feels nice though and the glass is a nice touch.

FORMULA: I LOVE this formula, it's SO pigmented so its full coverage very easily but I feel like you don't need much product to cover everything and I can let my skin breathe much better.  I love that it covers me, keeps me matte pretty much all day and its heavy like most products.  Because it's a Tarte product too, its pretty much free of ingredient that clogs your skin too which is a major plus! And if you're worried about the coverage is too much I found it really sheered out using a beauty blender

SMELL: There is no smell! Unlike the perfect peach foundation (here's my review) I tried out a few months ago and that's a huge selling point for me!

WEAR: I love this foundation because it is matte and you can easily add some glow. Also, I haven't been wearing primer like I use to and it really takes a while for the oil to start peaking through.  It loves how it wears and looks like my skin but better.

I HIGHLY recommend this foundation, and I think if you have dry skin the dewy formula will suit you well too! I'm ditching the perfect peach foundation and sticking with this during the colder months!

Products I USE to love

Hey friends! I hope that you're having a great week! I just wanted to share with you some products that use to be oldies but are no longer goodies.  These are almost more now in general rather than the specific products.

REMEMBER WHEN SHOPPING: Use Ebates for cash back and coupons! Honey is a great back up when Ebates doesn't work on the site.

1. Micellar Water - This is sorta just in general I'm over micellar water. I don't like that I have to use a cotton pad and then I just feel like reside it left over my face.  Then you still have to clean your face several times.  I'm turning away from that and getting into the oil, I feel like it melts the makeup and moisturizes my face better.

2. Eyebrow pencil - I'm just more into the powder right now.  I feel like the brush strokes look harsh and the powder looks better and more blended.

3. Lipstick - Maybe its cause of the winter time but I'm more into gloss rather than lipstick.  I think I need things with more moisture rather than a liquid lipstick.  I just like the simplicity of glass rather than lipstick.  This is the lip gloss I've been loving. What are you guys into?!

3. NYX Finishing Powder -  I still love powder but I think my skin it too use to the powder and we need a break.  It seems to not be working as well as usual but I am liking the Tarte powder.

4. Tarte Mascara - I use to love this mascara but after a while of using it the mascara was really wet and easily clumped together.  I don't know if it's because it's a little older or what but it doesn't work nearly as well as it use to.  I'm on the hunt for a new fluffy mascara that's for sure, and hopefully without the price tag.

5. Thick Body wash - This body wash is just starting to feel heavy and like it isn't moisturizing much.  Rather than use that, I'm using the thinner body wash and moisturizing after with this.

6. Double Wear Foundation - This Estee Lauder use to be my ride or die for a matte foundation but lately after finding other foundations I've realized this one is very heavy.  Also, my esthetician told me that this foundation contains a lot of skin clogging ingredients, so that's a bummer. I have seen that there's a lighter version of the foundation and I really want to test that out!

Whats something you use to love and now you don't?!
